I get about 60 to 70 major freezes per match. That last for about .2 sec.

I have tried every "fix" possible that the internet could dream up. But none of them work what so ever.

I tried about every different "solution" so far:

Updated the motherboard bios to the latest version

Disable SMT

pci link state on/off

Disable hardware based gpu scheduling

Disable Core Isolation

Updated chipset drivers

Reverted to the Space Marine launch driver from nvidia

increase virtual ram

run the game in windows 8 compatibility mode

-Dx11 launch option in steam

ran with and without g-synch, fps capped uncapped, both in windows and in control panel settings

checked hard disk integrity

running lowest setting/highest setting

changed the power usage to maximum power in the control panel (nvidia)

closed background processes, overlay's etc

monitoring the state of my pc with afterburner + hwinfo (nothing out of the ordinary) temps/clockspeeds etc plenty of (v)ram left

verified the game in steam

deleted shader cache

reinstalled the game

Nothing works.

I even tried (against better judgement) to disable "Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator" because that was the "solution" for some.

My suspicion is that it is Unreal Engine.

This is an educated guess, because another Unreal PVP game has very similar behavior.

When ever a character dies and respawns, is when I get lag spikes.

This happened in later versions of Rogue Company.

I was playing on a completely different system back then but it is very similar to this (old pc specs are in the description)

Here is a short snippet of my recorded frame times while playing Space Marine 2 PVP:pc masterrace.jpg

I am not the only one experiencing these frame times, looking for a solution online shown as much, and a Steam buddy is in the same boat as me too.

My System:

Both liquid cooled with their own loops

CPU: Ryzen 5800x3d

GPU: Rtx 4090

32 GB of system RAM

Samsung 980 pro (Plenty of storage space left on my 2 TB nvme SSD)

Windows 11 (completely updated/latest public build)Screenshot 2025-04-04 135943.jpg

Basically all firmware and drivers in my system are up to date, tried every "fix" the internet came up with. And the results are not changed.

The campaign runs relatively smooth, it is just the PVP part that is extremely bad (see frame graph).

I would love for a dev to check how they fixed this in Rogue Company, and see if this can be done for Space Marine 2 aswell.
