As someone who plays, almost exclusively, PVE I've started playing PVP to complete the ordeals and I've realized just how bad/frustrating most of them are. In this thread I will list all of the ordeals, explain why they're either bad or detrimental to good PVP gameplay, and present possible fixes for them.

As a side note, I do enjoy the PVP when im just casually playing, but not when im going for ordeals.

Glorious Victory - This one is good, it involves just getting victories, while it is partially luck based(based on the skill of your team and the enemy team) it just involves playing the games normally.

Tactical Genius - This is another good one that simply involves playing a match with each of the classes.

War Machine, Unwavering Faith, Dominator - These three are good they only involve playing 20 matches of each gametype.

Fortunes Reversed - This is the first terrible one. It involves being marked by an enemy Tactical's Auspex Scan, and killing them while you're marked. This is partly luck based because it relies on enemies playing tactical and marking you, while also being in a position to be killed by you. It is also bad because it incentivizes stepping into Auspex scans in order to kill Tacticals to complete the Ordeal. Which is counterintuitive to playing the PVP normally.

A fix would be either surviving after being marked, or killing/assisting ANY enemies while you're marked.

Anti-Aircraft - This is an okay one, however it is partially luck based. You need to be facing a team with Assaults using their jump pack, and hope they aren't extremely skillful.

Tombstone - This is okay, though it is partly luck based. You need to be facing a team with Bulwarks that are near their banners.

Seek and Destroy - This one is bad. You need to kill Snipers while they're camouflaged. This is purely luck based. You have to be in a position to one shot the Snipers, with a weapon or a grenade, and you have to kill them before they pop out of camo. It's again also luck based, because it involves facing an enemy team that has Snipers, that are using their cloaks.

A fix would be knocking a Sniper out of they're camo cloak, regardless of killing them.

Tarnished Halo - A good one, though again dependant on the enemy team having Heavies in the first place.

Reconnaissance - This one is bad. It involves marking 4 enemies at once with your Auspex Scan. This is purely based on luck, and enemies grouping up. It also incentivizes saving your Auspex Scan for ONLY moments when enemies group up, which is counterintuitive to good PVP play.

A fix for this would be either making it just mark singular enemies, or mark and kill/assist in killing enemies.

Grind Them To Dust - This one is bad and partly luck based as well. It involves getting 5 kills with ground pound in one match as Assault. It's partially luck based (based on the skill of your team and the enemy team). It also involves actually being good at the game and getting 5 kills with it in a game. It partially incentivizes using ground pound as often as possible, instead of your weapons, in every situation. Even situations where you shouldn't.

A fix would simply be singular kills with ground pound.

Death Launch - This one is bad. It involves getting a kill or an assist with your grapnel launcher. It incentivizes either ONLY using your grapnel on weak enemies, or using it only on enemies near your team and then backing off to try to farm assists. This is counterintuitive to good PVP play.

A fix would be USE your grapnel launcher and kill/get an assist on the enemy you grapneled, instead of killing them WITH the grapnel.

**This ordeal seems to be broken, with kills from the grapnel or assists with the grapnel, none of them are counted**

On Me - This one is okay. It involves restoring full armor to 10 or more allies per game. It is partly luck based because it involves your teammates actually using your banner to fully fill their armor. It also partially incentivizes dropping your banner whenever you're near groups of teammates instead of when it is ideal.

A fix would be either, make it singular teammates, not 10 per match, or make it restore ANY amount of armor, not fully.

Kill Score - This one is bad and annoying. It involves killing 5 enemies in 1 match while camouflaged as a sniper. It's partially luck based because it involves actually being good at the game, and not being up against extremely skillful enemies.

A fix, it should simply be for getting singular kills while camouflaged, not 5 per match.

Beacon of Light - Kind of annoying. It involves killing, or assisting in killing, 10 enemies in one match as a Heavy while iron halo is active. Again, partly luck based as it involves being good at the game and also the skill of the enemy team.

A fix would be making it singular kills while Iron Halo is active, not 10 per match.

Merciless - This one is okay, but it again involves actually being good at the game or getting lucky.

Massacre - This is okay, but it again involves actually being good at the game or getting lucky.

A fix it should just be singular kills not 10, 15, and 20 kills in one match.

Shredding Shrapnel - This one is horrible. It involves getting at least a triple kill with a single frag. It's partly luck based because it involves enemies grouping up. It also incentivizes only throwing grenades at groups, and at no other time.

A fix would be making it singular kills/assists with frags.

Blinded By the Light - This is annoying. It involves blinding 3 enemies with one shock grenade. It's partly luck based as it involves enemies actually grouping up. It also incentivizes only using the shock grenade to blind groups, while not using it for it's shocking properties.

A fix would be getting kills or assists on singular enemies either with the flash, or the shock.

As a final thought, these ordeals should incentivize playing the PVP in a manner that is productive, not counterintuitive. It should also reward players for playing regardless of skill level, not act as a barrier to completion.
