There you have it folks, despite everyone saying the perks are underwhelming the only one they are even considering changing is Heavy. Despite many saying they do not want to be reset every prestige level, seems like that is what the yare going with. Don't bother with a test server if you aren't going to listen to your testers (who are also your playerbase and potential customers of future DLC)

Very disappointed in you Saber, you can do better, you have shown that you are capable of listening so why ignore us here in the one place our voices should matter the most (testing feedback).

I can’t believe we wasted so much time explaining why the perk reset system is terrible. Lesson learned I guess.

And there you have it folks, just look at the notes on what they are changing: Nothing we asked for. Oh and they are nerfing the Inferno pistol into the ground before it even releases by removing 30% of its tiny ammo pool without giving it a damage boost to compensate.

They still have Heavy melee-focused.

They gave Sniper an ammo recharge on secondary kill but not Heavy.

They have doubled down on pickups giving ability charge (terrible move)

They gave Tactical more health instead of the great health DR when at 50% (health DR is better than more health)

Basically everything but the weapon buffs are just "did you even read any of the feedback?"

Hey, at least we tried, it certainly better than posting comments on STEAM hoping for the best without going through the actual source, which is here. Because it seem like the devs avoiding that place like a plague.

When I heard they going to do a Public Test Server I was ready to believe they going to do something similar to Killing Floor 2 with their Beta patch test. Listening feedback and good amount of time period for the next beta patch. Instead, all we got is vague respond from Saber and extremely slow patch. I mean look at today patch note 2, did any of this look like it would take consider amount of time? Most of them are just perks and weapons rebalance, and they needed 19 days to get it done. Did they finish the new Operation yet? No.

*Edit: It seem like they did finished the new Operation and allowing us fighting the boss. However, that goes to show how badly they communicate with us in the patch note 2, there's no mention about Tyrgon is ready for a fight.

While in KF2 Tripwire only took 10 days for the next Beta Patch, rebalacing weapons at the satisfying state (well, except the minigun.) All and all, it's better than not doing anything to make this game great. We did our part by following the letter presented by Focus, tested the PTS, make constructive feedback, and waited for their respond. After we did everything that need to be done, what do they do? "We heard ya, but we know best, so let's just do an absolute mind boggling result and hope it will come to pass."

I'm glad devs don't add every other thing players demand, because most demands are legitimately skill issues and would make the game way too easy. That is, bland and boring. I actually like the current state of prestige perks.

Maybe. But some stuff like more primary weapon variety isn't. Also the pickup perks REALLY have to go. They're useless in absolute because of how infrequently item drops, and useless in low difficulty because you don't need em.

Other than the new operation, there are more than enough loot boxes on absolute and you can easily manipulate your chances of getting what you need from said crates. However, I think the Exfiltration drops on absolute are a bit too scarce and need a bit of buffing. Also, I disagree on adding existing primary (or secondary) weapons to more classes because I value class identity. It's getting a bit ridiculous already.

Apart from that they encourage bad teamplay "But I want my ability NOW, oh whoops you needed ammo? Oh whoops you are a 2 armor class?" they are not good for the game.

Usbbb, that is a strawman dude, the vast majority of what people asked for to replace were related the the prestige perks i.e. something we would want to toss away another 9+ hours grinding from 1 on every class just to get one perk on one class. The perks on offer are not worth a reset.

All ideas not directly related to that was available in the PTS 1 patch notes were ignored and we were warned they would be so that is technically fair enough and yeah a lot of those kind of suggestions were just making the game easier and I don't generally agree with them.

THE think players agreed was it was odd they are trying to shoehorn Heavy into a melee playstyle and that is the thing they certainly did not address despite literally directly mentioning players not being happy with the Heavy prestige perks in particular. In one ear out the other.

There is no reason to play the PTS and give feedback if they are not really going to listen. I can look at the PTS patch notes and instantly give feedback on what they are planning (and already did in their news post) without ever actually playing it. There were several bugs found by testers in the first round, no mention of those which arguably is more important than the content itself in test server results.

Well said. It's hard to add more perks without majorly upsetting the balance of the game too much and while not perfect the current state of prestige perks isn't too bad. Yeah there are some pretty horrible perks I wish the devs changed completely like the ones that require pickup's or reviving downed allies... hopefully over time they will change them when they realize none uses them.

No that is the entire point of a test server, to have people just tell you (rather than you needing to "realize" something over time) when that thing you implemented/are going to implement live is not something anyone actually wants. No "over time," they had 20 DAYS of us saying what we thought of these perks, nearly a month that is plenty of time. The entire point is for things we don't want not making it to the live game.
