Request to add Crossplay Fliter in PvP

I recently found out that PvP pools will be separated into (Steam & EG) and (PS & XBox). Meaning if you, like myself have friends on PC you WILL NOT be able to play with them in pvp. Only PvE. Is there not a way to make it possible to "Filter" your crossplay settings or something of that nature? For example opening your crossplay settings and selecting which pools of players you would like to be matched with or something were maybe normally you wouldn't be matched up against PC players, but if someone is in your group is playing on PC when you queue up then it makes it so at that point you will be matched up against PC players or something? I don't want to make this sound simple as I am not a dev or anything of the sort, but some of us just want to experience the "entire" game with our friends and dont care about being matched with PC players.

EDIT: If this is a change you would like to see please go over to the "Ideas" section to give the thread a follow.

I can understand that people want to play together with their friends on different systems. But letting PC and console players compete against each other in PVP has never worked out well. The result would be servers where crossplay would be on, but players who either don't connect for that very reason, or even more so because of that very reason. The result would not be balanced

SIMPLE FIX -> Developers need to provide a toggle on/off crossplay switch.
People wanting to play with friends are happy... people who only want to play against their same platform are happy.
It truly is an extremely simple fix... i don't even know why this needs to be spelt out to the developers. Make this no brainer happen.... preferably before day 1 launch.

Thanks

This i understand, which is why i brought up the the filter. More so like a secondary crossplay toggle due to them already having the option to turn it on or off. "Allow crossplay with PC users" toggle under your crossplay settings. Hope this clarifies my intention a bit.

They have a toggle but it only affects the pools i mentioned above. So: playstation and xbox can toggle and choose to only play with people on the same system, but at no point can either one of these group play pvp with friends on PC, other than in operations.

If players do crossplay for PvE but don't want to do so for PvP, instead of having people to into the setting every single time perhaps have 2 crossplay toggles, one for PvE content and the other for PvP.
Extra work, yeah. But it would be a nice QoL.

I don't mind throwing down with all in the Arena , my brother plays on same platform so i don't care at the end of the day unless player count drops hard one day or im trying to find a match at a funky hour , but a toggle would make sense

I feel your pain. It’d be nice if they can give console players the option to matchmake/queue into the PC pool. Maybe when a PC player invites them to play PVP they automatically get placed into the PC pool. Afterwards, when they’re not playing with a PC player and matchmake/queue on their own, they return to the console pool. Maybe a toggle for console players. I just want to be able to play with my friends. By no means do I want to force console players to play with PC players… but having the choice would be nice.

i rather have the option to turn crossplay on or off for pvp, people on pc play on controller, and there are people on console who play with keyboard and mouse. both ways of playing have their benefits. So to have this turned off sucks big time.

This is ridiculous majority of the PC players I play with use controller anyways they just don't want 1080p up to 60fps performance. The other half are on consoles. Just make it a console and PC or Console only toggle.

This is understandable, which is why there should be a type of pool within crossplay that would be able to connect groups matching others such as connecting groups that have a mix of PC and console.  While still separating PC (steam/EGS) and the console (PS/Xbox) pools depending on the mix within the groups attempting a server connection . If that is at all possible or the difficulty of the task is unknown to me.

Please don’t force friends who want to play PVP together to not have that option.. this is not what gaming is about and many of us play games so we can experience it with our friends.. a lot of us love PvP and understand what cross play means when it comes to PC playing with Console.. give us the option.. don’t force us. Some of us only have a small group of friends we like to play with online and sometimes they are on PC.

Please add this, my console brothers and I (PC player) will enjoy this great game for longer with this feature.

I've played on both controller and keyboard/mouse in my time and I can say that being able to hang out with your friends and play multiplayer is worth so much more than an "edge". Heck I won't even play multiplayer mode if I can't have a team of my brothers! What would be the point?

Definitely think they should at least focus on input options rather than console and pc pools. This works for plenty of other games and as a pc player I wouldn't mind at all being forced to play with a controller to play with my ps5 friend if it's my only option.

I have a group of 6 friends who are all getting the game and have been waiting for it to come out for a long time and can’t wait to play together two of us on Xbox the rest on pc not being able to experience the entire game together really sucks and dulls the excitement some so I do wish there can at least be some toggle feature

It’s frustrating that PvP pools are separated by platform, limiting gameplay with friends on different systems. An adjustable crossplay filter could be a great solution to enhance the experience.
