PvP changes that are most needed

These are the things that I think need to be addressed asap.


1. Killing yourself by jumping off a cliff, melta bomb, plasma gun or grenades doesn’t have any consequences in Annihilation. It actually works out better if you do kill yourself so the enemy team doesn’t get a kill.


2. Shock grenades are by far the best grenade in the game, it needs some kind of nerf. 


3. The ability to rejoin games you were in if you crash or are disconnected. Last night a battle brother lagged out of a 3v3 so we were forced to fight in a 2v3.


4. The spawning system needs work, I think it was better at launch. You also constantly hear the announcer saying the spawns have been swapped even when you are locked into a spawn killing battle. 


5. Would love to see a ranked mode of any kind.


6. A new PvP map.  


7. 6 player squads so we can que with a full team and face other full teams, this would be the ideal ranked mode so you can have the quick play games still only be 3 player squads.

→ We’re currently working on implementing custom PvP lobbies. You’ll be able to invite your friends, alongside various other options to customise your experience (score limit, time limit, class limit and so on)..

Thanks for the update. I would prefer it to be in matchmaking. This game is very tactical, 2 full teams would have some of the best battles. It's like we finally have a game that is up to 6 players in PvP but we can't que with all 6.

1. Should be a "ghost" team point I guess lol


2. The AoE radius needs to be decreased


3. I'd hate to say implement temporary (same class) bots until someone joins (bots are atrocious in PvE already, better than nothing?)


4. Lol the good ol' farm spawn points is hilariously bad (I'm guilty of this myself on my Heavy (easy points), but yeah add a platform that obscures or breaks line of sight for the spawning-in players so that they have advantage


5. Bingo! Go away good players go be amazing somewhere else


6.  I'm pretty sure the Roadmap covers that and there's one around the corner, but yes, the more the merrier


7.   Hey, what do you know they're on it. TY @Rexipher (it is only a proper game feature to be able to que with your buddies)



So, to address or bring attention to other PvP aspects (a ton will be my preference)


- decrease the radius of the Assault's Jump Pack strike/slam or have the same radius, but the slam deals no AoE damage just an AoE stun and deals damage at the landing point only


- bring over some of the PvE features such as items beyond grenades (like stimms), add executions (will take a very long while to incorporate I get it), the parry system, incorporate revives, also I hate to say it, but where's my PvP Perk Tree at? (I don't just want to look better I want to actually be better.)


- add a hybrid game mode (PvP and light PvE) one day where its Loyalists and Traitors but also Tyranids are thrown into the mix as npc


- emotes, I want to one day be able to plant a flag on an enemy's corpse

1. You shouldn't get credit for a kill you didn't actually get (would be shameful for an astartes to claim to try claiming such)


2. Shock grenades should be limited to only the tactical class to be quite frank, they're a tactical grenade that doesn't make a lot of sense for non-frontline classes to have.


3. Would be nice, but the spot might be filled up by then, and numerous times when in a match where it's going nowhere because people aren't even trying or griefing or spawn-kill farming happens.. I have been thrown into the very same match once I leave and re-queue


4. Spawn system really does need work yes, but the problem mostly lies with the spawn locations being accessible once you've left them, they  need a ledge or "one-way portal" type of barrier stopping people from gaining access.


5. Ranked mode needs to wait until the netcode is better. We cannot have it with the current tickrate being so low that you die long after taking cover because the client and server aren't communicating properly.


6. We need way more than one new pvp map, and we need them sooner rather than later before the game goes stale and dies out.


7. Maybe we'll get other modes that have more than 6 players on each team, but doubt the party-size will be increased so they can prevent "premades" from dunking on new players.

The only thing PvP needs is lore accurate melee. Im not going anywhere near PvP so long as 
1. weapons doesnt have and impact and it feels like hitting air when you smash a chainsword into the enemy
2. there is no real parry system that prevents the brainless knife spamfest
