Fencing weapons, What happened?

Is it me or does fencing weapons only give you so many pings? I’m pretty decent at this game,  (or I like to think so) but I feel like my timing is the same but I only can get so many parries. Twice today I have had multiple enemies take me down when I feel Iike I timed the parry right. Before the patch I would be able to get a gun strike or parry even if there were multiple enemies. In back to back missions I feel like the game didn’t give me the parry when the timing was correct. One was even during a gun strike on another enemy. I’m not sure what happened, but I feel like you can’t just parry back to back any longer. I know they nerfed fencing weapons a bit, but I feel like they nerfed how many parries you can get. Anyone else feel this?

The chainsword seems to be the most heavily effected weapon when it comes to the fencing weapons being inappropriately touched. It has been confirmed there are several "bugs" with fencing weapons including they seemingly removed the fencing weapon's bonus perfect parry frames on some weapons.


This has resulted in instances of chainsword users experiencing "unable to parry" states where you do the animation, hit the button at the right time but your character do not parry and you just continuously eat attacks. Only way to fix it is to dodge to hopefully reset your state and avoid getting attacked by multiple minoris. (they seem to be the worst offenders for triggering this "unable to parry" state)

Yeah, I stopped playing after trying to figure out the new timing, if there was any, but still got downed by minoris nonsense vs the regular ranged nonsense

Idk, with power sword, I feel the same, just seems embarrassing now, if there are 6 or more minions, you seems a guardsman, just cannot parry like before, multiple parry seems just broken or not correctly working like before, this ruined the gameplay I liked... The nerf direction in this game is just nosense, melee it's even worst than before now...

I’ve experience this with both the chain sword and the power sword. The parry for both weapons is just bad, at least from my experience. I’ve attempted multiple times to try and parry multiple enemies. I can’t!

Yes, loose an ops yesterday with my bulwark, at letal, not for anything, but coz in melee now I'm useless, really embarrassing session, just ruined the game for me, I quit from now, if they bring back the game I've purchased and played all this month ok, if they just nerfed melee, and ruined the core mechanic of it, and the flow of combat, I'm done this time, can't stand a core gameplay totally changed from a patch 🤷‍♂️ and plus... The paid DLC of Dark Angels are wrong too, green weapon? 😅 Wrogn symbols? Damn... This update it's a disappointment... Hope a revamp in next days, or really I'm sad...

Fencing weapons lost their increased perfect parry window, which is why everyone is complaining right now. this has been shown by dataminers.
The devs need to stop messing with Fencing weapons. I don't understand the devs' fascination with Block weapons, they are garbage, and the devs don't understand why it's garbage. I've said more than enough times in this forum what the problem is. Perfect Block shows again the dev don't understand why people don't use them. Whatever, stop touching the Fencing weapons and do whatever you want with Block Weapons.

it's not only the chainsword, i tested few weapons, Thunderhammer, Powersword, Combat-Knive and Chainsword. The effect is on every weapon, but also not all the time in the game sometimes it works fine, somtimes i cant even parry small minion attacks to even push them back...  No Dodging is not the correct way to fix this, dev's have to work on it to get it fixed very quickly!

Dunno if you ppl havent followed the sitch on Discord, but the devs said they are going to patch it up as well. 


"@Space Marines The aforementioned issue with inputs being randomly disabled is fixed. You might need to restart Steam and/or your PC to see the change. On another note, we're aware of the control rebind issues and bugs with parry. We're working on it. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience."

Out of curiosity can you find the values for the other weapons. The chainsword feels the most effected due to losing the entirety of its bonus frames but what do the other weapons look like in the data?

Emperor Protects!

Please fix this parry nerf/bug!  The melee game is almost unplayable at the moment.  After nearly 200 hours put in this game I now hate the melee combat. I quit my last op in disgust and don't want to go back to the game.  The fun of being in the eye of the storm of combat is completely ruined.  I hate the gamplay right now!
