​I’ve played Destiny 2 religiously since 2017 the first hour it launched on Blizzard.

I’ve accumulated over 10k hours on that game, on and off due to a love hate relationship.

I literally thought Space Marine 2 would be the next game I spend thousands of hours on, but no. Devs team have failed and ruined this game tremendously by unnecessary nerfing and untransparent on how they tweaking the weapon perks.

In any PvE game, there’s meta, strong weapons, load-outs that players can make/create based on their playing styles. And there’s the normal and weak ones. You are more than welcome to stick to balanced or weak ones but you will ALWAYS have a group of people figuring out the best combo doing the most amount of damage during PvE, operations, raids whatever you call it, to max out DPS and save the most amount of time. Hell, there are even people do world fast runs and skipping mechanics in order to finish something quick.

But in this game, no.

Some people whine about PvE experiences, as the game launched 3 months ago and you haven’t made a single damn friend yet. Can’t run your own private sessions and rule out the so called “OP” weapons, still roaming in random lobbies, and get “abused” by others using grenade launchers on a Tactical, as in they were helping you to finish the kills quickly and effectively, speeding up your leveling progress. In my experience, I always appreciate the carry’s and I return the favor later on. Instead of whining and bitching about it.

Then, the Devs start to make a move by nerfing.

If you are this good at practicing democracy, why don’t you make a poll for people who legitimately purchased the game and see how they react about nerfing. 

If you are this good at practicing democracy, why are you eliminating the option for everybody to enjoy a fun strong weapon. Instead you nerf all good ones to the ground, fucking everything up. Only because some of players cried about it.

Let me remind you, this game’s main focus is operation, operation is a PvE mode, not PvP mode. 

PvP you allow a 0.1s TTK (time to kill) weapon amongst all 3s TTK weapons, that’s a problem. In PvE, fast killing mobs, the damn monsters, the stupid computer generated enemies, who are you hurting?

I think all weapons should bring up to the 3 Heavy’s weapons level, as well as Grenade launcher level. 

You call them “OP” simply because others are too WEAK.

I’m extremely curious on how would those people feel when you have a team of Assault, Bulwark and another non “OP” classes running your Lethals, and fail dramatically cuz you simply can’t deal enough damage and have supplies for everyone. Several neurothropes and a good wave would send you home. Or yes, you did finish the whole run, in 50 mins, and others have done it in 25, using half of your time cuz they chose wisely. 

It doesn’t matter if you call me or others “brother”. It doesn’t matter if you keep reciting the line “the emperor protects”.

You Devs created such a wonderful game world and yet you FUCKED it up by demonstrating almost unbelievable incompetence in game management.

The player base has dropped by more than 90% since the launch. Enough people said there’s not enough content. But I have done my part, bought early access ultimate edition, unlocked every single item in this game, and completed 50/50 100% achievements.

I’ve done it due to the love of this game, even though you ruined several of my favorite weapons and classes patch by patch, I still pushed through as a real trooper. Imagine how you were ever going to win any old player back when you achieve the "real balance" which makes everything dog doodoo.

I’m going to say goodbye now. And I hope you can learn a thing or two from what I wrote. Because I cared.

The player count drop is normal for many reasons. Games like Elden Ring, Helldivers 2, Black Myth Wukong, and Baldur's Gate 3 all had almost the exact same player percentage drops at the exact times when they launched.  Go look for yourself.  Look at their player count launch and track month by month 4-6 months out from launch.

Also, yes the grenade launcher definitely needs adjusted.  It's not about killing fast.  It's the fact that when using it the explosion affects any other player near it.  Knocks melee out of combos and gunstrikes. Interrupts swings and movement.  Some people abuse it or even intentionally grief with it.  Not to mention the fact that you are able to have unlimited ammo with it.  No two ways about it... it needs fixed.

I guess, what is it you want? You rant about how the devs F***** everything up....but, what exactly should they fix? I can see you mention the private lobbies and the grenade launcher, but is that it? I'm curious because there are really two groups of people playing the game:

1. Hardcore - want increased difficulty (ask for nerfs to weapons and buffs to enemies)
2. Casual - want lowered/moderate difficulty (buff on weapons and seems like keep enemies relatively the same with a few nerfs to exterminatus enemies)

These two groups are almost always at odds and right now I think the game is much more oriented to the hardcore gamers. Either way, both groups want different immediate changes and similar long term updates. EVERYONE wants more content. I dont think anyone at Focus or Saber thought this game was going to be so successful. I THINK, they are likely understaffed/burnt out and want to relax a little before hitting it hard. I bet we get quite a bit in 2025, but it will take some time. 

Speaking from my own experience, my brother and just about all my friends stopped playing because it just felt to difficult and there is no reasonable way to get health back. Literally thats it. Some players enjoy losing a mission 7 out of 10 times because it feels great when you complete it, the majority don't though. This divide between what an average gamer and a hardcore gamer enjoy is part of the reason I think the game has sort of died (not really though). The PvE modes shouldnt really be meant to be competitive, they should be fun, a break from the competitive side, PvP. PvP needs an overhaul. Needs WAY more modes, needs its own unlockables, needs better more interesting maps. I think the main problem was that the game made the PvE mode the "competitive" mode, and hardly touched PvP. Now, you have all the hardcore players who have done everything in PvE and have no incentive to do PvP, angry about the lack of content. Game is smaller scale, its not a CoD, its not one of the others AAA games. 

Take a break and come back in a bit. Its ok to not be the first person to complete every mission and unlock every unlockable. I just picked up Darktide and have been having fun with that, but its been out for YEARS.

100% agreed. I think there is a major divide between hardcore and casual. Some rework of PVP would be dope too! 

Pre nerf lethal when it first came out was a blast for me and my friends but I saw how it really left a bad taste for casual players. I totally understood how they felt and wanted them to love the game like the way I did. 

I’m supportive of changes to make the game better for EVERYONE and hopeful that devs listen as well.

What I don’t stand for is the players that berate insult, and  accuse the devs/players/fanbase of killing the game and using negative language to get what they want. (Which is rampant in this forum it seems) 

We’re all on the same team here. We want a better warhammer game , we wanna have a good time with our friends , we wanna be bad ass space marines kicking ass 😎
