More like "stop using them as random death" when the AI decides it's had had enough of our antics :)

The normally spawning mines should do almost no damage even if they splash you. A direct hit should hurt though. They are classified as minoris enemies so they have no business dealing more than one armor bar on a splash. (they actually count as enemies for the "kills in rapid succession" perks too) Biovore mines are different mines entirely so they can stay as they are. (they have different color and leave an acid cloud/pool which is bullshit but it is what it is)

Spores wouldnt be a problem is they followed a strictly defined mechanic rule
Having them spawn randomly near you or inside walls only to fly right through them or sometimes damaging through walls
No consistensy when you get a sound queue when they are about to detonate
I also dont understand how they sometimes damage you when you shoot them and then sometimes they dont 
They also need to follow some kind of limit as to how many can spawn at any given time no matter how many bioswarms spawn
Multiple times the map has been covered with them and if you get behind with shooting them or have to reload at a bad time you are forced to spam roll hoping they dont explode in the interval between rolls. Spoiler: You die
