Greetings brothers & staff! The heavy bolter rifle has been a wonderful addition for the heavy's arsenal in the PTS. Considering the armaments that the Primaris Intercessors (and their heavier brothers) have it would be a wonderful addition for those of us that want more flexibility!

It would be cooler tho if he could have 2 of them attached to his gaunlets - akimbo style :)

I dont play on PTS but maybe someone who do could explain one thing to me: why would I ever choose heavy bolt rifle over heavy bolter or heavy plasma or multimelta...?

They introduced some insane perks that buff heavy bolt rifle over the roof or is it same weapon as tactical has?

If yes then... I again do not understand this move.

That is literally the question we asked after testing it. "Why would I ever use this other than lore/RP?" many are suggestion "at least give Heavy a Combat Blade to compensate" at least if he got a melee option the swath of melee-oriented prestige perks would make sense for the poor guy.

Using heavy bolt rifle on a heavy would make some sense if you didn't have to get into the heavy stance to aim\zoom in - in that case we would have some kind of a tactical class actually but with better armour and iron halo instead of 2 nades. It might be interesting in pvp but I am not sure about this heavy stance with a heavy bolt rifle as I don't use PTS.

Yea and no melee. If there are no perks that buff rate of fire of this weapon or it's dmg by A LOT then there is really no reason to pick it as heavy.

At least in my opinion.

Even if it had a built-in +30% fire rate in braced stance it would have a purpose and may actually be a valid choice but right now it is just a heavy bolter with a slower fire rate and more accuracy as long as you only squeeze off a few rounds at a time. That said I use the accurate heavy bolter and if I burst fire that I can be VERY accurate so...
