Prestige Shouldn't Reset Perks

Resetting my perks and being forced to play without my build is not entertaining, let alone being required to do so 4 times. Also, requiring us to repurchase the perks is also a let down. I am already going to go through my current stash of 2000 getting the Space Wolves heraldry. While its not too hard to get more currency, it is a waste in my opinion and could be used else where. I know they want to give us more things to do, but this does not seem like a good way about it.
I suggest they remove the requirement that resets perks and just set us to level 1. Then its not a hindrance on our gameplay and we just continue to play the way we want.

this was exactly the feedback given in the 1,000,000 g2g point feedback post on the pts and that’s since been deleted and ignored.

i’m happy to grind exp for some cosmetics and extra perks, i’m not happy to lose the perks that make the class fun on higher difficulties to do. Inflating engagement like this just straight sucks.

This. The fact that the devs had a PTS, and a feedback forum kinda felt useless when this happened.

An unfortunate by product of them deleting the PTS forum, I believe we were also asked in the discord by the game director and the same consensus was present though I have yet to find and verify this post.

It was never about the exp grind, i’ll do that for days and days during my limited play windows. It was about losing the little class identity you have some modicum of control over to have some tiny form of a playstyle to get to what saber say aren’t game breaking perks but then looking at a sniper with infinite ammo…. It’s backwards design logic and there were a number of ways it could have been changed to respect player time, keep one perk unlocked each prestige like titanfall and hell even later CODs, rather than prestige make it a veterancy option that could be marked with a service stud cosmetically on your helmet and every X amount of exp you could choose a new lrestige perk and gain a new stud. Instead they took the lazy route and it shows. I really hope they see their error for SM2 but definitely would want to see it for SM3
