I've been switching between the Heavy Bolt Pistol and Inferno Pistol (relic)  and it seems like the Heavy Bolt does a lot more damage on a gun strike.  But looking at the stats it shouldn't.  Can somebody help me figure this out?

Heavy bolt:   FP:11+ with +10% damage and +10% headshot damage perks 

Inferno:  FP:13 with +10% damage and +50% damage perks

The Inferno should be doing quite a bit more damage,  shouldn't it? 

​According to this spreadsheet, the Inferno Pistol's gun strike damage is 31.2, while the Heavy Bolt Pistol's gun strike damage is 62.4.

Also ingame stats doesn't represent anything, they are just made up numbers

​What is "parry bonus"?

So, the number without the bonus is the gun strike damage after a perfect dodge, while the number with the bonus is the gun strike damage after a perfect parry? Thanks!

To sum up,  HPB is the way to go if gun strike damage is what you're looking for, yes? 

Sure would be nice if the in game numbers were meaningful. 🤷‍♂️
