Patch 4.1: Lethal is too similar to Ruthless difficulty now

So after Patch 4.1 the difference between Ruthless and Lethal is now:

  • No changes to enemy stats
  • More extremis enemies can spawn at the same time
  • Max health is reduced by 20%
  • Armour is reduced by 20%
  • Time for armour to regen passively after taking damage is doubled
  • Ammo Crates have 40% less ammo
  • Respawn time is changed from 2 minutes to 5 minutes
  • Killing Majors-level or higher enemies decrease respawn time for squadmates (20 sec for Majoris/Extremis, 60 sec for Terminus)
  • Majoris- and Extremis-level enemies have their incapacitated execution window reduced by 50%
  • Gunstrikes deals 25.8% less damage
  • Grenades deals 37.1% less damage


People wanting to remove cohesion just made the game have another Ruthless difficulty with some minor adjustments lol, and what do you gain? Nothing more of value


The difficulty bump from Average to Substantial is more than triple than that of Ruthless to Lethal now.

4.1 makes the game fun & brought the players back. It's not perfect & still things are not there to have the perfect game. But at least people can enjoy what they paid for!

The dev team is on the right path.

Given that the rewards for lethal are totally the same as they are in ruthless, the jump should not be astronomical. It's clear you're one of these elitist types that just wants the game to lock everyone that's not (allegedly) you out, but I mean, you're free to make the game as hard as you want to, on yourself. Run lethal with artificer class weapons or below, reduce yourself to lv1 perks only, glue needles point side up to your thumb sticks or keyboard, do you. 


What you shouldn't be doing, is coming here to whine that by making the game more enjoyable to a larger base of people, the developers have somehow stolen something from you. Mo playas, mo money; mo money, mo content and sequels. Try gaming as a hobby, not an unpaid internship at "The academy of auto-flagellation for non erotic but still pleasurable purposes."

The Tight Formation mechanic is what made Lethal unique and fun because it forced you to adapt to play a bit differently, but now it's just the same gameplay loop it has been since release. People have been working around difficult mechanics in games for decades and they still come on top. It's the challenge and creativity to solve them that makes it fun and rewarding. Lethality is nothing like Ruthless, not when I just lost the f****** round cz it spawned me a Ravener into a Lictor into a Ravener into a Zoanthrope into a Ravener in the same wave, what the actual F*** is that?? whose mental disability thought it'd be a good idea to just spawn an extremis wave? what the actual fuck!!

Lethal was simply intended to be a step above ruthless. As it stands, I can pretty well carry a group through ruthless, lethal is a cluster f**k.


And you are whining, no matter how you cut it. "Over the last week?" You mean people (consumers) coming out here and everywhere else to tell Saber (the provider) that the changes they made to the game significantly damage the experience had by this dominant portion of their player base? You're in this extreme minority of people screaming "my negative experience isn't strong enough" and laughably getting high and mighty about it. 


Your post here is just ridiculous, there is an extreme, palpable difference between ruthless and lethal, making your argument founded on a bad faith premise, and you're complaining about people complaining to deflect from that. Just stop and enjoy the game instead of trying to turn it into something it shouldn't be.
