Wings of Flame Perk on Assault not working, Assault/Bulwark class discussion, buff melee damage

​The wings of flame perk seems to not work properly, I tested out a lot of near miss dodges and not even once it procced as a perfect dodge as the perk implies. 


Also please, but please, give Assault the survivability it needs, Vanguard has plenty of survivability as well as the Bulwark, but Assault feels just awful to not be able to counter the enraged ranged units, not to mention no invulnerability while Ground Pounding, Vanguard has invulnerability during grapple hook, Assault should also have that.


Also I feel that melee should receive buffs, or at least reward the players who are playing on balanced weapons and mastered the parry window, give us a buff in damage on a perfect parry or something, or just flat increase the melee damage, Assault feels extremely powerless because the hammer has a lot of disadvantages being slow, not receiving stagger immunity and so on.


And about the Bulwark perk, if not teamed with a sniper or vanguard, it has a long cooldown, so I do not see the why it should be nerfed, I always use it as a means to protect my teammates and hold ground in hordes, that is after all its purpose.

They have noted in the news section that wings of flame is not working as intended and will eventually get fixed. When is that? With their track record, probably a month.

The perk is working properly, you just need to make sure you're dodging during active damage frames in order for it to count as a dodge. The only issue with it right now is that the damage from the perk can kill an enemy during their melee windup, preventing the attack from going off and therefore eating the charge since there was no attack to dodge. Would be nice if they could delay the damage a bit to alleviate this.


If you're looking for raw melee damage, try the Balance variant Power Fist, one fully charged attack can kill ranged Warriors if you run Overcharge, not to mention you can knock Zoanthropes out of the air with the range buff. Super fun to use now.

It is way too inconsistent unfortunately, trust me, I play only on absolute, I know how to perfect dodge in most cases, the perk does not do as it implies, dodge=perfect dodge according to the perk description, which would be amazing and strong af, and I do not really care about the damage, I want dodges to be counted as perfect dodges, but the perk with 10% recharge on kill is still outperforming it by far.


And about melees, I simply love the hammer, if you played monster hunter or dragon's dogma 2, where you have warrior class, you use big weapons with slow movement, but you have immunity to stagger when charging attacks, assault should have this too. 


If they do not want to raw increase the damage of melee, players should still be rewarded with increased damage if they know how to parry on balanced weapons.
