Suggestions for PvE


End Game

*To avoid what happened with End-Game PvE Games (My personal experience with Helldivers 2 for example), This game may need end-game incentives to grind for that go beyond just season pass cosmetics but rather cosmetics that people can wear proudly as achievement badges that are hard to obtain and want to show off.  


Seeing the amount of available PVE missions, I fear that many players will grind the crap out of this game REALLY fast from enthusiasm and then be left with no incentive to play regularly. 

Equip-able Loot awarded from Mission Completions:


Relics/Curio Accessories/Specialized Decorations for Armor/Weapons:

Obtained through specific penances/challenges/guidelines for highest difficulty PVE missions

Example:

- Quite a few community members have noted they wish for Purity Seals that can be added to your character/profile (Achievement Based Purity Seals  / Purity Seals)

 

This can lead to the addition of new higher Operation Difficulties and Mission Modifiers

- Deathwatch Difficulty (Sting Operations - Killteam)


Mods with Randomly Generated Stats that can be added to Armor/Weapons 

- Awarded at the End of missions - **Higher Difficulty = More unique Mod Descriptions/Stats**

Incentivizes players to grind operations endlessly for mods with potential awesome stats


Application Example 1) :

Curio Accessories can be awarded with the Mod Stats

Each Character only able to equip 1 - 2 Curio Accessories (Hopefully able to see on Character)

Mod Rarity - Based on Difficulty Completed

- Common (standard issue)

- Good (green)

- Superior

- Legendary

- Relic


Application Example 2) :

Armor and Weapons would have 1-2 Mod slots which you can add into them with these - Mods can affect either class ability (cooldowns, lengths, etc) or add specific things to weapon stats


All Gear treated equally to prevent the issue of weapons or armors with more cosmetic appeal to be considered better than the other. 

**More Legendary Armors could have more mod slots if there can be a way to make it fair and balanced.**

Potential for interaction with Tech Priest NPCS in the Battle Barge to customize/modify your weapons - Allowing in-game currency and points to be used further once BASE CONTENT is unlocked fully


**Coming from Darktide, I love the idea of penances and rewards tied to achievements or specific parameters that surrounding high difficulty PVE content or objectives.**

End Game Mission Objectives:


Maintaining a reason to keep playing the endless gameplay loop of PVE will be critical and creating a Self-Sustaining Ecosystem for players



Blueprint Extraction / Collecting Fragments - "Mechanicus Extraction" - *Holding the Blueprint with your team and extracting at the end with the Relic / Fragment. - Must be achieved on Hardest Difficulty


Multiple Fragment completions eventually complete unlockable cosmetics etc. (Each of these cosmetics would be locked behind a required number of fragment unlocks)

**Following Community Member proposed the initial idea: finding collectibles for unique armour cosmetics**


Do not underestimate your playerbase - Many members of the 40K community have waited for this game and will GRIND incredibly FAST to obtain everything.


** Once players grind all the things purchasable by in-game currency, there will need to be something more that those funds can be used on or in general something else to grind for **


Main Point: There needs to be a system that can recycle/reuse the in-game currency once everything is unlocked
