Idea : One map, One "Primary Objective" with different "forks" in the road.
- Map will function with multiple intersecting paths that all start at the same spot, cross paths multiple times, and have the same primary objective a the end.
Ex you would have the starting zone, intersection 1, intersection 2, and primary objective.
Players would start in the starting zone, and only Path A is open .. they continue down path A to intersection 1 where all paths would converge, At this point multiple random paths could open in the map with different secondary objectives to continue down the path.. Ex (Path A could be a path with extra waves, Path B could be a Hold out while a task is completed, Path C could be a path where you have to hunt down a rare extremis)... at the conclusion of Path A, B, and C, they all merge to intersection 2 to complete intersection 2's secondary objective.... and repeats with 3 other possible paths.
While you may play a single operation... each time the combination of paths could be different increasing the overall replayability of the game without taking away from the main focus of the objective.
- This is already slightly included with the different random events you need to do during things like the bomb extractions.
- Adaption would be that it would lead to totally different areas of the map.
- Could be triggered by in game events, or character choices.
