Hi,

Just logged on my 32:9 monitor with much excitement only to see that unfortunately the widescreen implementation is apparently flawed.

Seems to be the most common mistake for many games implementing widescreen is that the aspect ration scaling is set to vert- instead of the correct hor+ scaling.

With vertical scaling the top and bottom get trimmed the wider your screen rather than the sides of the screen expanding.    So on my screen it appears to be super zoomed in to the character model.

In hor+ scaling, the character model appears exactly the same, the vertical space is preserved.

In unreal engine this might be addressed with a setting such as

AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

I am hoping this is a quick fix.

Thanks.

Just replying hoping to bring more attention to this. Hope they can fix this soon. Was so excited when I opened the game only to be disappointed by a zoomed in screen.

Please give us the configuration as it was before. Let us play the game again, this is totally unacceptable.
Please let it as option

Yeah on a 32:9 this is totaly unplayable, the biggest sin being there is no way to turn it off!

Please im begging you just give me my black bars back so I can play the game again.

+1 - it's insane what they did to 32:9 users. I wasn't happy with the lack of SWS compatibility, but now the game is unplayable after introducing this so-called 'compatibility'.

Hoping your fix will work, @McGreeb. Thanks in advance!

+1 - This is unplayable on superwide. Give users the capacity to zoom out from the character, or adjust fov... or perhaps implement without the enormous vertical squish.

Will 21:9 users face similar issue too?

It looks like 21:9 users have proper support. 32:9 is just completely horrible. I would be okay with even 21:9 in 32:9 displays as "Ultrawide support" but currently 32:9 is horrible. I wanted to play it at  it's full glory but I'm here waiting. I'm not sure if to refund or keep waiting.

I'm going to try the fix on the provided reddit link and see if I can finally enjoy the game.

At very least just make 32:9 function like 21:9 and just give us reduced black bars on the sides vs the pre3.0 fix. That would be better. The 16:9 with black bars is better than this zoomed in play. Motion sickness sucks. :(

I found an image that explains well why the ultrawide is bugged:
