Removing the armor was a terrible decision...

You made the conclusion stronger, while essentially removing the ability to divert armor from parries unless you stick models to each other.
his is a terrible decision that will kill the game if you don't fix it right away, namely return it to how it was. Also, there shouldn't be wild damage from a neurotropic source, for example. This is nonsense. Everything else is done normally.

I played more than 200 hours, completed all missions with all characters and all weapons several times. And yes, after the previous update everything became too easy - I completed all the missions on the highest difficulty at that time alone with a green weapon. And you did the right thing by increasing the number of enemies in the new difficulty and so on. But now you've made the game simply unplayable by essentially removing armor, especially when you're alone...


How to play an assault or vanguard, who run close to enemies, and their brothers stand and hit from afar? And how to play a devastater and a sniper, who almost always stand far away?

This happens when you don't have a test server or even people from your studio playing the game... I bet the most "veteran" of the company's people has less than 20 hours played in this game, while all the player base has 200+

I don't mind the additional mobs or limited ammo but yeah; expecting a heavy or sniper to charge forward into the thick of it alongside a bulwark and assault is insane. Not to mention classes like assault and vanguard are now screwing themselves if they try to get behind the enemy line. The armor grouping debuff has got to go. 


This isn't Darktide; if you want it to be like that fine. But then you need to redo every classes skill trees to make them like Darktide. As it stands, the way the current classes are designed you cannot have them all grouped together in the thick of it and be on equal footing.

Agree. This is terriblee for assaults that cant even do anything they meant to do. Especially with chaos. I played on ranged and melee classes, and this weird mechanicbrakes the whole game flow for melee, while ranged classes hardly notice a difference

Cohesion distance should be modified on a class by class basis. Allowing Assaults to operate further from the other two than a heavy.

By the way, if we talking about darktide, you only loose passive armor regen when alone there, but you can still fully restore it through offensive actions. That is a much better system, that rewards players that stick together, but still allows more mobile classes to operate independently, albeit at moderately greater risk. 


Straying off in SM2 now on lethal is almost suicide, especially when you dont have proper answer for enemy ranged masses, either defensive (bulwark/heavy/sniper) or offensive (all ranged classes). And assaults dont have neither defence from range nor large ranged damage to heal contested health back.

I honestly dont understand the balance changes, everything gets nerfed and spamming enemies doesnt fix things. Things where fine before, even the melta charges destroying the hive tyrant. I would have changed that in the super duper hardest difficulty but now its just unplayable and isnt fun. Add the fact that they changed the colors... it killed my desire to play this.

We arent playing the tabletop let me feel like a fucking supersoldier that warrants to be sent in as a three man unit compared to guardsman bait. 

I understand where some of these changes may be coming from, and I agree they can add difficulty at the end I will likely never be able to manage thats all fine, but ffs currently I'm relegated to minimal as only substantial makes sense as a next step at all, skip average because why would you.


My progress however is now locked to ruthless that a) I may not have the ability for, certainly not after an 18 hour day b) is just marred with too many issues I can't control that will literally kill me like ultrawide weird camera locks, or alt tabbing the game (even involuntary windows11 shenanigans) freezing it for 2 minutes.


Then you read the changes to fencing and balanced weapons, and while you may ask why its now similiar, my question is why didn't or doesn't balanced parry window start at the animation start, its like everything we learn in gaming is frame perfect reactions, now why isnt this?! and why did noone do a nathan fillion while writing this changelog item down...


Look at the first time posters this patch has generated, I think thats a data point that they should add to whatever other data points they obviously dont look at.

I, like you, like all adequate people, am very happy about the new difficulty, but these problems with armor are terrible... Especially when you are left alone, it is simply impossible and it is bad. But I have never experienced problems with ammo on any class, you just need to spend them wisely

I agree i'm done uninstalled i'll return when they make the game fun and fix the weapons. Until then last Saber game i'll buy.

Brother, this is of course your choice, but the game is very good in any case, to just delete it because of a couple of mistakes by the developers... Well, I wouldn’t, but it’s your decision, of course. The main thing is that we let the developers understand what we want)

The "out of range" for armor thing just seems silly, like a straight up lazy solution to a problem instead of doing the teleportation when "moving on" for someone that's too far back.

No, teleporting a lagging player is not an option. He should be punished for falling behind, getting lost, or something else. Why should I do everything for him and he will just teleport? No way) But for those who consciously for certain reasons distance themselves from the team, be it searching for items, switching to killing long-range enemies, or, as in the case of a sniper, moving back to use a talent for additional damage when you are more than 20 meters from enemies - they should not be punished for this, it is stupid to punish for effective gameplay.

Not anymore it isn't, it was passable before all the nerfs now i have no time for it Brother.
