Do mod'ers are allowed to take money for their mods?

Do mod'ers are allowed to take money for their work that is mods even when they using resources that's comes from game?

Cuz I found someone people just doing that, and I wanted to know if that's don't break any copyright term, why cuz I interested in trying that too if that's allowed.
