Missing Armor Color Options

From looking at the customization so far, there are 3 things that are noticeably absent. The ability to change the hand color independently from the arm, the ability to change the color of the lower half of the legs independently, and the ability to change the color of the faceplate independently from the rest of the helmet. (For ALL helmets and ALL classes, not just the single helmet for only the assault class as it is currently) There are over 30 chapters that have color schemes that utilize one, two, or all three of these patterns. 4 chapters that do are already in the game and are missing these patterns. (Iron Hands, Taurans, Castellans of The Rift, and Iron Hounds)

Many of the successor chapters that use these patterns are very popular, and we won't be able to make their color scheme correct without these three simple options. If Saber/focus truly wants us to be able to customize our character like we can paint our models, these are 3 very crucial things that would be greatly appreciated. These options were a part of customization in Space Marine 1, so I wholeheartedly believe they should be in Space Marine 2 as well. These small, simple fixes would mean a world of difference to space marine fans. They've already done similar things with the pattern settings on the chest plate/helmet, so it should be a simple addition by allowing us to use a pattern to color these areas.

Hello,

Thank you for your idea, we're looking into adding additional custo options in the the live planning. Can't promise anything at the moment though.

I just noticed something strange. The icons for the Iron Hounds and Castellans of The Rift have the correct colors but…their in-game models don’t.

Kind of odd.

Very odd, even. So it wasn’t an oversight on the side of the developers and designers.

It seems to me that the armor color options were intentionally left out.

Maybe that’s why the dev responded with "No promises." It seems like they tried to do it before but it just didn’t work out for some reason.

Yes, this would be nice too.

As someone who wanted to look like a brother from the lost Shadow Wolves, I would also like to mention my desire for all colors to be available on all components. The Shadow Wolves, according to a GW booklet of Successor Chapters, have a purple Aquila on the chestplate, which isn’t an option right now. Additionally, this could allow for even more depth in custom heraldry, allowing players to make better lore and overall designs.

Also I beg you to allow Gold on the helms. Blood Angel Veterans need Gold helms. For some reason the citadel paint color "Retributer Armor" is in the game but it is more Bronze or copper than gold.

It's really silly to me that one of the devs said they take the lore very seriously while shooting down someone's idea but they have lore inaccurate paid content for the game

Not allowing metallic colors on the armor is a strange choice. Thats a change id like to see as well.

Yes we definitely should be able to use any color anywhere as well.

Just want to add to this here as I made a response around one chapter specifically: https://community.focus-entmt.com/focus-entertainment/space-marine-2/ideas/178-crimson-fists-with-red-fists#post-1287

But basically: more customisation will never be a bad thing (give me crimson fists for my Crimson Fists)

Yea with the crimson fists being so popular youd think the hands would at least be in

One pattern I wanna see for the chest is where the crest is have the option to just colour that in and let the rest of the chest be left alone. Seen in this miniature reference is from Peter The Wargamer1000021542.jpg

Also whats even more odd, you unlock a pattern under the iron hounds called "mask pattern" but its a stripe, and the iron hounds dont use a stripe. They definitely can do it, theres 1 helmet for assault with a different faceplate, and they can cut the colors in half on other things, they just didn't add another pattern for the faceplate, only the stripe. The limit of 3 colors per item is kind of janky, but they could definitely have made 2 seperate patterns, one for the stripe and one for the face.

This would be a must have, it would go a long way in making our characters more lore accurate and also give a lot more freedom for people who want to create their own chapters.

Show the crimson fists some love, brothers.

(Also the iron hands, I suppose)

I'd like to note that there are only ONE option(s) for purple, violet, magenta. In that entire part of the spectrum, there's only a single, overly vivid purple. No violets, no magentas, no tonal variations. We need way more options if we don't have access to a wheel.

I think the way this could work is just by adding more patterns for the pieces. I also think this is going to come eventually, as the leg arm and shoulder pieces all have the ability to have a pattern added, but don’t have any patterns to apply. They would be pretty easy to add too, I think, at least compared to new weapons or Chaos customization.

I adore the Storm Wardens, Iron Hands and Crimson Fists so not being able to represent them properly reaaaally hurts.

Not to mention the Auric Patricians, Sons of Dorn and Mortifactors are some of my favorite color schemes!
